Miss Hoover Emma Terry was crowned Miss Alabama 2025 at Samford University's Wright Center.

Terry, a Leeds native, earned her masters in accounting from UAB.

Terry was the runner-up in the 2024 competition, which was won by Abbie Stockard, who went on to win Miss America. Stockard crowned Terry Saturday evening. Nearly one year ago, Stockard crowned Terry as Miss Hoover when she won the local pageant.

Terry's community impact initiative is "Stomping Out ALS One Step at a Time," in honor of her grandfather, Stewart Simpson. In his final days, Terry helped her grandmother take care of her grandfather. Simpson passed away in 2024, but Terry continued her mission to raise awareness.

The 22-year-old also won Wednesday's evening gown preliminary and Friday's talent preliminary.

Terry competed against 42 women. The top five were:

4th Runner-Up - Abby Sosa, Miss Hidden River

3rd Runner-Up - Lauren Vance, Miss Tennessee Valley

2nd Runner-Up - Ruby Tilghman, Miss University of Alabama

1st Runner-Up - Hannah Adams, Miss Phenix
