The search for a missing boater is underway on Lake Wedowee in Randolph County after a reported single-vessel crash.
The crash occurred at 5:10 p.m. Friday.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) immediately began search operations, along with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Clay County Rescue, Randolph County Rescue, the Randolph Dive Team and the Alexander City Rescue Squad.
Crews set up a staging area at the Highway 48 boat ramp and rescued one person. The injured boater, Jake L. Littleton, 20, of Heflin, was flown to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga., with a serious leg injury.
Russell H. Clanton, 22, of Oxford, remains missing.
