The Mobile Baykeeper conducted a series of meetings and heard from Baldwin County residents about their concerns.
Topics at the meetings in Fairhope, Gulf Shores and Silverhill seemed to be consistent across the board, Baykeeper said.
“Across every meeting, the same concerns came up again and again. This isn’t about one project or one neighborhood,” Baykeeper reported. “It’s a pattern.”
A report on the meetings and concerns was released, showing the issues of concern were stormwater runoff from construction sites, failing sewage infrastructure, large developments, changes to waterways, and flooding.
Mobile Baykeeper said across all meetings, the clear message from residents was that they want better access to information and input before decisions are made.
