The Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) has placed the Mary G. Montgomery head football coach on leave.
WKRG reported Zach Golson was placed on leave amid “an investigation into recruitment violations at MGM.” The outlet did not name its source.
MCPSS did not provide details.
Golson has been the head coach since 2022. The Vikings were ranked 16th in the state by MaxPreps.
