The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI in Mobile announced on Tuesday the arrest of 28 illegal aliens.
The sheriff’s office, the United States Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI were given orders to remove the subjects from vans traveling on Dauphin Island Parkway.
Authorities conducted a traffic stop for traffic violations and removed the illegal aliens.
Those arrested are being processed in a holding facility. They will be detained until court hearings that the sheriff’s office said will likely result in deportation.
“The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office continues to work daily with our Federal Partners to protect our community by faithfully executing the immigration laws of the United States,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
