A Collins-Rhodes Elementary teacher charged after a child was hospitalized for alcohol intake is asking the court to amend the terms of her bond to allow for a trip to the Bahamas.

Tracy Walker is charged with aggravated child abuse and is out of jail on bond. According to court documents, the trip was scheduled before her arrest.

The Mobile County Sheriff's Office said a four-year-old child was sent home from school on April 28 with a blood alcohol level of .29. The child was placed in the ICU and was released on April 30.

The child told detectives her teacher had given her a drink that made her feel sick.

Walker has pleaded not guilty and is considered innocent until proven guilty.
