The Mobile Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a man in connection with a child pornography case.
Zachary Brant Hawkins, 31, of Mobile, is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of dissemination of child pornography, five counts of possession with intent to distribute child pornography and one count of bestiality. The victims, both male and female, were ages 4-12, Sheriff Paul Burch said.
Burch told 1819 News that he wasn't sure how to word what Hawkins allegedly did with his dog, but he said investigators found images of the act.
"It was a medium-sized dog and it was intercourse, and he [Hawkins] was on the receiving end," Burch said.
The sheriff's office received information from the Internet Crimes Against Children unit, a national network of law enforcement agencies. The unit received eight cyber tips on Hawkins since January.
Hawkins was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail. He is considered innocent until proven guilty.
