A Mobile pastor convicted of seven counts of sexual misconduct was sentenced Tuesday to two years in jail.

Bradrick Vail, Sr., the pastor of Tree of Life Deliverance Ministry, was found guilty of using his power as a pastor over women to sexually assault them. Victims told investigators Vail lured them to his house, where he said he would pray for them, but instead, he raped them.

Initially, Vail was charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy.

Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said Vail “perverted the faith he claimed to preach.”

Mobile County Circuit Judge Jill Parrish Phillips dismissed five of the seven charges Vail was convicted of and sentenced him to one year per charge.
