The Mobile Police Department announced on Monday the arrest of a man in connection with a stabbing that claimed the life of a woman.
Kenneth Reeves, 69, is charged with murder in the death of 33-year-old Crystal Varden.
Varden was stabbed on July 27. Police responded to the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m. She was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives clued in on Reeves as a suspect and arrested him a week after the stabbing.
Reeves was placed in the Mobile Metro Jail.
