Montgomery Circuit Judge Johnny Hardwick has been seriously injured in a domestic shooting on Saturday afternoon, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office.
No further information is available, but Hardwick’s son, Khalfani Hardwick, was arrested for unknown charges.
Khalfani Hardwick was initially charged with attempted murder in 2016 for shooting another man. Hardwick pled guilty to a reduced second-degree assault, for which he received a suspended three-year sentence along with six-and-a-half months of time served and was ordered to pay $639 in court costs plus restitution.
No further information is available right now, and Hardwick’s charges have yet to be filed.
