Eighteen candidates have qualified for the Montgomery City Council District 3 special election.
The special municipal election to fill the District 3 vacancy will be held on September 1. Qualifying closed on Tuesday.
The candidates who submitted qualifying paperwork are:

The Montgomery City Council voted unanimously in June to vacate Marche Johnson from her District 3 seat because she didn’t live in the district.
