The Montgomery City Council is considering appointing William Boyd to the Montgomery Housing Authority at their next meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Boyd was found guilty of three counts of promoting prostitution and four counts of showing or allowing to be shown female genitals for entertainment purposes in 2002. Boyd was pardoned for the charges in 2007.
Montgomery City Councilman Oronde Mitchell is proposing Boyd’s appointment to replace Iesha Brooks on the Montgomery Housing Authority.
The Montgomery Housing Authority oversees affordable housing in Montgomery.
