The city of Montgomery recently launched payMontgomery, a new digital service that allows residents to securely pay court obligations — including fines, fees, and other penalties — online without visiting the courthouse.

In partnership with PayIt, the city developed payMontgomery to deliver a “modern, user-friendly web and mobile experience that simplifies court payment processing.”

“payMontgomery gives residents a fast and convenient way to resolve court obligations from anywhere, at any time,” said Kathleen Lampley, Municipal Court Administrator. “The platform reduces time, travel, and paperwork and allows residents to handle these matters quickly and securely.”

The Municipal Court processes more than 2,800 misdemeanors, 78,000 red-light camera violations and 12,000 traffic tickets each year. payMontgomery streamlines payment processing for both residents and court staff.

Residents can pay as a guest or create a profile to store citation details, payment history, and preferred payment methods.
