A Montgomery man will spend 20 months in prison after pleading guilty to illegal possession of a machinegun.
Da'Quarious Lamrion Dudley, 21, was arrested in February 2024 after he was caught driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz. Dudley did not surrender peacefully. Police said he attempted to run from authorities.
During a foot chase, Dudley threw a 9mm pistol that was modified with a Glock switch.
"A search warrant of Dudley's Facebook page revealed that he was regularly in possession of 'switches' and even agreed to procure switches for other individuals in the Montgomery area," U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona's office stated in a press release.
ATF Nashville Division investigated the case along with Montgomery Police.
