The FBI continues to make arrests in connection with an alleged lottery scam.

Sheka Walcott was arrested Tuesday in connection with Operation Jamaican Knights.

Walcott was taken into custody at the Mobile Airport after returning from Jamaica, the FBI stated. She is charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud.

Kaysia Turner, also charged in an indictment, was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail on Wednesday.

According to the FBI, the defendants scammed victims nationwide out of more than $200,000.

Court documents state that some of the victims were elderly, and they were made to believe they had won the lottery. The scammers directed them to pay taxes on their winnings by sending cash to addresses in Baldwin County. Over 100 shipments of money were made.

According to a federal indictment, 10 people are charged.

Peter Walcott, Malik Chambers, Romario Nembhard and Jermaine Smith, all Jamaican nationals, were arrested in February and charged with mail fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. Another suspect was arrested after a police chase through Gulf Shores.
