The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Monday after a school resource officer (SRO) alerted investigators.
The SRO heard rumors about an adult who was allegedly having sexual contact with a minor. The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) investigated the rumors, which ultimately led to the arrest of a suspect.
Misael Gonzalo Hernandez-Paredes, 19, of Lacey’s Spring, was charged with second-degree rape (statutory), sodomy and production of pornography with a minor.
He was taken into custody from a home on Sherbrook Drive and was booked into the Morgan County Jail without bond.
Hernandez-Paredes is considered innocent until proven guilty.
