Kristy Siple, the mother of five-year-old Kamarie Holland, has received a 20-year sentence plus fines for her role in the murder and posthumous sexual assault of her daughter in 2021.
On December 13, 2021, Siple called to report her daughter, Kamarie Holland, missing. According to the original report from the Russell County Sheriff's Office, Siple claimed she awoke early in the morning to find that her daughter was missing from home.
Later that day, police found Holland's body in an abandoned house in Phenix City. Holland was found strangled to death and posthumously raped.
Shortly after, law enforcement arrested and charged Jeremy Tremaine Williams with the murder. Williams had previously lived in the house where Holland was found. Although not initially listed as a suspect, Siple was arrested shortly thereafter in connection with the murder.
Siple pleaded guilty in March to first-degree human trafficking for her role in Holland's death. Court records state Siple sold Holland to Williams for $2,500.
Siple was initially charged in the murder and kidnapping alongside Williams, but those charges were dropped shortly before she pled guilty to first-degree human trafficking. Siple was sentenced last week to serve 20 years in the Alabama Department of Corrections, with credit given for time served.
Additionally, Siple will be forced to register as a sex offender and pay case costs and a $10,000 fine. She must also pay $100 to the Alabama Crime Victim’s Compensation Commission. Payment of the monies is conditional for Siple to be considered for early release or parole.
In May, Williams was found guilty of four counts of capital murder and one count each of sodomy, sexual abuse of a child less than 12, production of obscene material involving a child, human trafficking, conspiracy to commit human trafficking and abuse of a corpse. He was sentenced to death for the capital murder convictions.
Court documents claim Williams "recorded himself raping and sodomizing" Kamarie after her demise.
