A Trinity man was killed instantly when his motorcycle was hit by a train in Decatur.
Police and Decatur Fire and Rescue responded to the crash late Saturday on Alabama Highway 67.
Investigators believe the train was coming through and all lights and crossing arms were functioning. Cars were lined up waiting for the train when the motorcyclist sped through, hit an SUV and then collided with the train.
Leroy Goodwin, Jr., 57, was pronounced dead on the scene.
