Community members are coming together to help the owners of Mount Vernon Outdoors after a fire destroyed the business.

Josh and April Gunter lost the building and everything inside, including hunting gear and fishing tackle. Firefighters believe electrical issues caused the fire.

According to a GoFundMe account set up for the couple, the building was so old that insurance would not cover its contents.

This means Josh and April are facing this loss without any safety net, and the road to recovery feels overwhelming,” stated Alan White.

“Mount Vernon Outdoors was more than just a business—it was a gathering place for neighbors, friends, and families who love the outdoors. Josh and April poured their hearts into serving the community, and now they need our help,” White added.

Donations will go towards replacing inventory.

There will also be a raffle. Details will be posted on Facebook.
