Two senior women concluded a year of competitions by winning the annual state pageants held in Daphne.
Ms. Senior Alabama 2025 for ages 60 and up is Lori Cox of Daphne.
Ms. Super Senior Alabama 2025, for individuals aged 70 and above, is Helen Ivey of Jasper, competing as Ms. Super Senior Marshall County.
The two had won local pageants and then bested 17 contestants, called “delegates,” at Alabama’s 38th annual state pageant.
A record 200 events were held across the state during the 2024-25 pageant year.
It’s already been a huge year for Alabama in competitive pageants. Miss Alabama Abbie Stockard of Vestavia Hills won the Miss America Pageant and is reigning nationally.
The competition is not just a beauty pageant, though there was beauty there in abundance. Poise, answering a question, producing a video about themselves, athletics, and community service were all looked at by the judges.
Numerous photos of the pageant and contestants can be found on their Facebook page, Ms. Senior Alabama, Inc.
