MOBILE — The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Border Patrol agents and others gathered Thursday in Mobile to discuss details on the administrative arrests of six members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua gang and two of their associates.
The suspected gang members are Jose Ramon Rivera-Garcia, Alejandro Jose Gomez Rivera, Jose Antonio Garcia Garcia, Jesus Alberto Queva-Vasquez, Keiber Jose Maiz-Martinez and Kendry Alexander Queva Vasquez. Agents determined their affiliations through intelligence gathering, tattoos, and other investigative materials.
Their associates, Franyelis Cardenas Mendez and Auvelis Carolina Paz Astudillo were also taken into custody.
FBI Mobile acting special agent in charge Parker Steele said several of the suspects were living together. While they are not being judicially charged, Steele said at least one of them had an outstanding warrant. He said multiple traffic stops led to the arrests.

Multiple agencies are investigating whether the subjects are connected to other parts of Alabama and to locate other members of Tren de Aragua across the state.
“No lead is going to go unturned here,” said Steele. “You can see all the partner agencies are here. We're going to put all our resources together to determine if there are others in the state of Alabama. We will continue our efforts to investigate those individuals.”
Those arrested will be deported.
