Slightly more than 100 votes decided the race, but Muscle Shoals mayoral hopeful Bill Hudson defeated incumbent Mayor Mike Lockhart on Tuesday.
Hudson earned 1,718 votes, with Lockhart coming in at 1,614 votes.
Lockhart was elected to the Muscle Shoals City Council in 2012 and mayor in 2020.
