On Monday, the Business Council of Alabama (BCA) announced that former Alabama head coach Nick Saban will be the keynote speaker at its "Evening for Progress" event, which is scheduled for October 16 in Birmingham.
“The greatest football coach of all time, the legendary Coach Nick Saban, will be joining us in Birmingham at the Evening for Progress on October 16th, Will Wilson, chairman of ProgressPAC, said in a release. "Now that Coach is retired, every chance we get to hear him is exciting, and trust me, this will be a night you don’t want to miss."
The proceeds will support ProgressPAC, BCA’s political arm.
Earlier this month, BCA executive vice president Clay Scofield threatened political consequences for those challenging the BCA's vision of "job creation, free markets, and a strong economy in this state" during remarks given at its annual Point Clear event.
Tickets for the event range from $2,500 for two seats to $50,000 for participation in the organization's 2026 Club.
