Legendary University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban will join President Donald Trump in Tuscaloosa on Thursday as part of the commencement address to the university’s graduating 2025 class.

An announcement from the University of Alabama on Tuesday stated, "The ceremony will celebrate the UA class of 2025 and feature an address from President Donald J. Trump along with comments from UA President Stuart R. Bell and Nick Saban, former coach of the Crimson Tide football team."

Candidates for spring commencement will have priority seating at the special event in Coleman Coliseum at 6:30 p.m. Free tickets were also offered to graduates’ guests, and summer and fall graduates and their guests. There will also be a limited number of tickets for faculty, staff and other students, according to the university.

"Enhanced" security measures will be in place to protect the President, as anti-Trump protesters, led by former U.S. Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) and former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas), will be participating in a coinciding "Tide Against Trump Rally" nearby.

"Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least two hours early as enhanced security measures will be in place to ensure a safe event for all participants. Doors to the Coliseum will open at 3 p.m.," the school said.
