No. 16 Alabama baseball extended its win streak to eight games with a 4-3 win over Jacksonville State on Tuesday.

Alabama completed the season sweep of Jacksonville State after defeating the Gamecocks 6-5 in Tuscaloosa earlier in the season.

The Crimson Tide grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the top half of the second inning when John Lemm hit a two-run home run to right-center.

In the top of the fifth, an RBI double from Justin Osterhouse extended the Crimson Tide's lead to three runs. The Gamecocks struck back with three unanswered runs, scoring one run in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings.

With the score tied 3-3, Brady Neal broke the tie with a solo shot to center field, delivering the game-winning run.

Neal finished the game 1-for-4 with his lone hit being a solo shot in the ninth. Lemm led the team in RBI with two coming by way of his two-run home run in the second inning.

JT Blackwood got the start on the hill for the Crimson Tide and gave up just one hit and no runs in his three innings of work

Evan Steckmesser was awarded the win, recording the final five outs of the game without allowing a hit.

With the win, the Crimson Tide improve to 23-7 overall and 6-3 in the SEC on the season.

Alabama will travel to No. 11 Oklahoma in a weekend series April 2-4, beginning Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
