The No. 25 Auburn Tigers got swept by the No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies on the road this weekend.

Auburn fell 5-1 in game one, 3-2 in game two and 14-6 in game three.

The Tigers got on the board first on Friday when Rose Roach hit an RBI single to left field which allowed Annabelle Widra to score, but that was the only run of the game scored by Auburn.

Shelby Lowe got the start for Auburn and allowed only three runs off of three hits and struck three batters out while walking only one in five innings of work.

“We had great effort,” said Auburn head coach Mickey Dean. “Our execution wasn’t quite what we needed it to be. We didn’t get any runs in our two bases-loaded opportunities. We are making mistakes in the circle that we normally don’t make. We have to figure that out. We didn’t finish our opportunities at the plate or in the circle.”

Anna Wholers put Auburn on the board first again in the second game with a sole home run over the wall in center field. Amelia Lech hit a homer to left-center in the top of the seventh inning to make it a one-run game, but the Tigers were unable to capitalize.

Maddie Penta tossed a complete six-inning game. She allowed only three runs off of five hits and struck seven batters out while only walking one.

The series finale was the least competitive game of the weekend as Auburn got run-ruled in five innings.

Auburn took a 6-1 lead in the top of the second inning, but the Aggies tacked on 12 runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to finish off the run rule.

Penta got the start but only tossed 2.2 innings and allowed four earned runs off of five hits

Auburn is now 15-9-1 on the season and 2-7 in conference play.

The Tigers return to action next weekend when they host the Tennessee Volunteers. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. CT on Friday, 4 p.m. CT on Saturday and 1 p.m. CT on Sunday. Friday's game can be found on SEC Network and the other two can be found on SEC Network+.
