Fort Morgan Fire Rescue contained a large brush fire off State Highway 180 over the weekend.
Approximately 15 acres burned near Sunrise Drive and Lakeshore Drive.
Gulf Shores Fire Rescue, Orange Beach Fire Rescue, Bon Secour Fire Rescue, Foley Fire Department, and the Alabama Forestry Commission dispatched emergency resources. No homes were lost during the incident.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office deployed traffic control and a drone to survey for potential hotspots.
Fort Morgan Fire and Rescue thanked the Fort Morgan Ladies Auxiliary and Sassy Bass for providing food and drinks to first responders.
