WETUMPKA — No injuries or major property damage occurred from a small-engine plane crash that backed up traffic in Wetumpka on Thursday afternoon.
Wetumpka assistant chief of police Ed Reeves told 1819 News a pilot ran out of gas and made a crash landing along U.S. Highway 231 near Jasmine Hill Rd.
“He walked away from it, and everything is fine,” Reeves said.
Reeves said there was no major property damage in the surrounding area from the crash.
