The woman found not guilty in a Fairhope municipal case after being arrested while wearing a penis costume and holding a “No Dick Tator” sign, is claiming over $2 million in damages.

Jeana Renea Gamble submitted a statement of claim to Fairhope for false arrest, false imprisonment, and assault and battery. She further claims a violation of her constitutional rights.

Gamble was arrested at a “No Kings” rally on October 18, 2025. In the statement of claim, Gamble stated that her costume did not violate any ordinance and that it was protected by the First Amendment. She also claimed arrest violated her First and Fourth Amendment rights.

Gamble is claiming $2 million in damages, her costs and attorney fees, a formal apology on Facebook, additional police training, and a requirement that all current employees and new hires of the Fairhope Police Department pass the United States Citizenship Test before being promoted or hired permanently.
