A Huntsville man is being held on a $2 million bond after being arrested in a drug trafficking investigation.
The North Alabama HIDTA Drug Task Force (NADTF) made the arrest after what they said was an extensive investigation that stretched across several states.
Mark Saint Jules Dolce, 28, is facing two charges of drug trafficking, one for meth and one for cocaine.
Investigators accuse Dolce of taking part in distributing large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine in north Alabama.
"NADTF with the assistance of the Port of Huntsville Police Department seized approximately 50 pounds of methamphetamine and 17 pounds of cocaine from Dolce after he returned from out of state," the Huntsville Police Department stated in a press release.
The estimated street value of the meth was $2,268,000 and the estimated street value of the cocaine was $700,000.
Dolce is being held in the Madison County Jail and police said he could soon face federal charges. More arrests in connection to the investigation are expected.
