Bay Minette attorney Harry Still III was found not guilty in Baldwin County Circuit Court after a jury heard his appeal from a 2025 third-degree assault conviction in Bay Minette Municipal Court.
The jury overturned the conviction on Thursday.
Still was accused of attacking Bay Minette City Councilman Matt Franklin at Franklin’s business. Following the arrest, Bay Police chief Al Tolbert, who has since left the department, accused Still of having a “documented history of aggressive behavior targeting elected officials, including making unfounded allegations of conspiracy and filing meritless lawsuits,” in a press release.
Still maintained his innocence all along and thanked supporters after the conviction was overturned.
