During an interview this week on Outkick's "Don't @ Me" with Dan Dakich, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) discussed attending the Georgia-Alabama football game next week in Tuscaloosa with former President Donald Trump after two recent assassination attempts.

Tuberville said the deep state was "not finished" trying to prevent Trump from getting re-elected but said he was looking forward to going to the Alabama game with him.

"First off, if they didnt give him [Secret Service], he'd still go. I mean, you're not going to tell him that he can't do something, but it takes hours and hours of planning to move a guy like Donald Trump. You can just imagine the same thing with the President of the United States, they all need to be protected. We live in a dangerous world."

"Sometimes he doesn't announce where he's going, but obviously if you're going to go to the Alabama-Georgia game, there's nothing bigger happening in the south that week, and it'll be an entourage going and coming."

"I love being around President Trump, and he's going to see the people and be around the people of this country, and that is his job."

Tuberville said he would be going to the Oklahoma at Auburn game on Saturday before flying over to Tuscaloosa to be with Trump.

"That's icing on the cake for me. I love football, so I get to see part of two games, but I love this part of the year," he added.
