One of the world’s largest pet adoption events is coming to Florence in April.
Tour For Life 2022, cohosted by Florence Lauderdale Animal Services and North Shore Animal League America, will be a week-long event at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter. The event is also in partnership with pet food brand Rachael Ray Nutrish.
Animals will be up for adoption for $50 once an application is approved.
Tour For Life 2022 will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11, and end on Sunday, April 17, at 4 p.m. On Monday through Saturday, the shelter will close at 5 p.m.
The Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter is located at 3240 Roberson Road in Florence.
Tour For Life 2022 will reach 53 cities across 37 states. North Shore Animal League America uses the event to help local animal shelters and rescue groups find homes for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
