The federal government arrested eight people with immigration crimes as part of Operation Take Back America.

A federal grand jury in Huntsville indicted all eight suspects.

Investigators made the arrests as a nationwide initiative to stop the invasion of illegal immigrants and eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations.

Gilmar Araldo Elias, 45, of Guatemala; Faustino Discua-Reyes, 38, of Honduras; Roger Manuel Jarquin, 28, of Nicaragua; Rigoberto Miranda-Gutierrez, 43, of Mexico; Miguel Perdomo Sanchez, 27, of Mexico; and Luis Miguel Olivera Hernandez, 36, of Mexico, are all charged with illegally reentering the United States after having previously been deported.

Milton Obdulio Ramirez, 31, of Honduras and Angel Techomahua-Amador, 36, of Mexico, are charged with being an alien in possession of a firearm.

Previous arrests among the suspects in connection included human trafficking, child pornography, electronic solicitation of a child, driving under the influence (DUI) and other charges.

Operation Take Back America allows agents full resources to intercept criminal activity by illegal aliens.
