The City of Orange Beach will celebrate a groundbreaking ceremony for the Margaritaville Resort at The Wharf.
The resort will sit on 70 acres across the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) from The Wharf. It will include Margaritaville bars and restaurants, entertainment, a resort pool, single-family cottages, condominiums and resort units. There will also be retail space, meeting space and transient boat parking. A ferry will take guests across the ICW to The Wharf when the project is complete.
Developers, local dignitaries, and community leaders will provide project updates on May 14 at 10 a.m. during the groundbreaking ceremony.
The first phase of the project is expected to open in 2027. The full resort is set to be complete by Spring 2029.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The groundbreaking is not a public event. It is invitation-only.
