U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) spoke about last weekend's nationwide "No Kings" protests on Huntsville WVNN's "The Yaffee Program" on Monday morning.

The congressman mentioned two far-left organizations that helped fund thousands of the demonstrations across the country: the Democratic Socialists and the Communist Party of the United States. Palmer argued that they were "dictating what the Democrats do."

"I would point out that the Democratic Socialists were one of the sponsors of the rallies and also the Communist Party of the United States was a sponsor, and just these really radical groups funded by people like George Soros are now dictating what the Democrats do,” Palmer stated.

He was then asked about the large number of elderly, white individuals disproportionately taking part in the demonstrations.

"They're pretty much the people that grew up in the '60s, the radicals from that time period,” Palmer said. “This is their philosophy and it never has changed."

The Democratic Party is now firmly aligned with the ideals of communism, Palmer argued.

"I never, in my wildest dreams, thought that we would have a major political party tied to the Communist Party, but the Democrats are there now, and I think they've really kind of painted themselves into a corner," he asserted.
