On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) reacted to Pam Bondi being sworn in as U.S. Attorney General.

During an appearance on Fox News Channel's "The Faulkner Focus," Alabama's senior U.S. Senator declared that Bondi would "bring trust back to our justice system."

"What a great day," Tuberville began. "What a great day for our country — and for the people of our country. Our Department of Justice has been weaponized. We've all seen that, even the Democrats know that. Pam Bondi will bring trust back to our justice system. People will believe in it again. For the last three or four years, nobody's believed what's been going on has been fair and just. Now, we've got someone who is going to do it ... the right way where people can, again, believe in the criminal justice system of our country."

He added, "Pam Bondi is going to maintain and get control, number one, of our justice system and give it back to the American people, and people can again trust what's going on."

"[T]he number one thing that we have to do in this country if you're a politician or anybody that has anything to do with our justice system: the people have to believe in what you're doing and why you're doing it," Tuberville concluded.
