The Mobile Police Department is investigating the injury of two people and the shooting of multiple vehicles downtown early Sunday.
Officers first responded to the area of St. Francis Street and N. Franklin Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Witnesses reported shots being fired. Two male victims were taken by personal vehicles to a local hospital. Neither victim’s injuries were life-threatening. Police said one of the victims had been shot, and the other was either grazed by a bullet or injured in another way.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
