Jack Aynsley and Paige Metcalf, a British couple traveling the world, have captured the hearts of Alabamians with videos of their three visits to the state. With hundreds of thousands of combined views, the couple has enjoyed visits to Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Mountain Brook, and Huntsville, with more videos likely coming that include Fairhope and the FloraBama which were hinted at in the latest videos.

To date their tour has included two visits to the University of Alabama. One for the UA vs. Tennessee football game and one to visit the band. Some of his best commentary on the state comes from his visits to Birmingham and its surrounding ares.

Their first stop was Mobile, in August. The video of that visit has had over 315k views.

Their second most viewed video with 240k views, is of the pair at the UA vs. Tennessee game where they got a behind the scenes tour courtesy of the university.

"From tailgating at dawn and drinking with locals in college bars, to a wild frat house party, and standing pitchside at Bryant-Denny Stadium, this day was pure madness. The scale, the emotion, the music, the noise, it’s something you can’t quite describe until you’re there," Jack wrote on the video discription.

"We learned about the legends, Bear Bryant and Nick Saban, took a behind-the-scenes tour of the training ground, and saw just how deep the love for college football runs in the South. This isn’t just sport. It’s identity, community, and pride rolled into one unforgettable Saturday."

They must have enjoyed themselves because they went back to Tuscaloosa a second time, on their most recent trip as well to check out the band.

They then spent 3-days on a “rural ranch,” through an Airbnb at Tack Tavern Ranch in Carbon Hill in a video with almost 112k views.

"Days bled into nights with no sense of time. We rode trails through the trees, cooked on a Blackstone grill with vegetables still warm from the sun, drank Twisted Teas until the cans piled up. We sat around talking rubbish deep into the dark, no rules, no pretenses, no modern nonsense. Just people, stripped down to who they are," is how Jack describes it on the video.

"The line dancing was awful, the bourbon generous, the midnight lasso lesson a strange blur of rope and laughter. But somewhere in there was something rare: a profound kind of silence inside yourself, the kind that makes you stop and wonder what really matters."

This week the pair visited the 3 villages of Mountain Brook making friends with the firemen and finding a $3 million house for sale that looks like a castle.

That video got a share from the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce.
