A popular soul food restaurant in Phenix City is closing after 14 years. The last day Lily B. Rose will serve patrons will be June 29.
"Thank you…from the bottom of our hearts for your love, loyalty, and support over the past 14 years," the restaurant posted on Facebook. "It has been one of the greatest honors of our lives to serve you and your families through Lily B. Rose restaurant. Your trust in us to feed your loved ones has meant more than words can express."
The owners said operating the small business has taken a toll on the family. They thanked God for providing grace and allowing the restaurant to remain open for as long as it did.
The owners will continue to provide private meal prep and chef services.
