A Jefferson County man is facing 10 charges after investigators accused him of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12.
Michael Dewoody, 42, of Pinson, is charged with sexual torture, two counts of first-degree rape, one count of second-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, one count of second-degree sodomy, sexual abuse of a child under 12, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sexual abuse.
Court documents show the alleged crimes occurred in March.
Dewoody is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond. His preliminary hearing has been set for July 28. He is considered innocent until proven guilty.
