The Gadsden Police Department responded to shots fired Saturday in the parking lot of the Walmart in East Gadsden.
Police said multiple vehicles were struck but no injuries were reported.
It was unclear if police had made contact with anyone believed to be involved.
Officers said there would be an increased presence in the area while investigators combed through evidence and gathered more information. They are asking the public to come forward with any information by calling 256-549-4578.
