U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) holds a 31%-26% lead over Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate.
According to a recent poll by Pulse Decision Science for Club for Growth PAC, Moore “should grow that lead as awareness of President Trump’s endorsement (of Moore) spreads.”
Club for Growth Action endorsed Moore in January in the Senate race.
Jared Hudson polled at 13%. The “other three candidates combined” totaled 9% support, with 21% still undecided. The other qualified candidates still remaining in the race besides Moore, Marshall, and Hudson include Seth Burton, Dale Shelton Deas Jr., and Rodney Walker.
Pulse Decision Science polled 501 likely Republican primary voters in Alabama from March 16 to 19.
Data were collected through a combination of live telephone interviews and SMS-to-web survey responses. Thirty-five percent of interviews were conducted via live phone calls to cell phones, 35% via SMS-to-web surveys, and 30% via landline. The sample was selected from the Alabama voter file and was stratified by geography, age, gender, vote history, and educational attainment.
The survey has a margin of error of +4.4% at the 95% confidence level. The primary election in Alabama is set for May 19.
