A Tuscaloosa-based company is expanding facilities in Mobile by investing $7 million in a new industrial facility.
Power and Rubber Supply currently operates out of a leased facility. The new construction will expand those operations and create 55 new jobs over five years, according to the Mobile Chamber of Commerce.
“Power and Rubber Supply’s decision to expand its operations in Mobile County reflects the strength of our industrial economy and the continued demand for the specialized services that support it,” said Mobile Chamber president and CEO Bradley Byrne. “This investment will create quality jobs, give the company room to grow and strengthen the network of suppliers serving manufacturers and industrial employers across our region.”
The new facility will be located on Salco Road and is expected to be operational by spring 2027.
Power and Rubber Supply president Chris Jacobs said the additional space will allow for the expansion of product assembly, fabrication and maintenance capabilities for power transmission products, conveyor belting, industrial hoses, rubber products and related services.

Construction is expected to begin in August.
