AUBURN — The Auburn Tigers continue to prepare for their season opener with the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday.
Here are some observations from Auburn's practice on Tuesday:
The offensive line group from left to right during 11v11 work was Tyler Johnson, Dillon Wade, Connor Lew, Jeremiah Wright and Izavion Miller.
Percy Lewis was at the left tackle spot with the second group that threw a few different looks out there. Brayden Joiner got some reps with the second group at center with Tate Johnson/Deandre Carter and EJ Harris working beside him at the guard spots. Ronan Chambers was taking reps outside at right tackle.
QB/RB rotation was the same as we’ve seen throughout the fall
Malcolm Simmons changed numbers from #16 to #11 (previously worn by Walker White. White was in a green scout team jersey so it is yet to be seen what number he will trot out in on Saturday.
Defensively, Austin Keys and Keionte Scott were full-go. Freeze mentioned in his presser on Monday that they would be monitored throughout the week.
Jerrin Thompson was full speed but in a yellow non-contact jersey
Defensive line showed a few different combinations for the first group. Philip Blidi, Jayson Jones, Trill Carter, Quientrail Jamison-Travis and Isaiah Raikes swapped in and out in the middle with Jalen McLeod and Keyron Crawford at the buck and Keldrick Faulk on the end. Amaris Williams also saw some looks with the first group as did Malik Blockton. They’ve got a lot of depth here, and a lot of those guys will play.
The Tigers host the Bulldogs on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on ESPN+/SECN+.
