During a Wednesday appearance on Newsmax TV's "National Report," U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) issued a warning to Iranian leadership about "dragging their feet" in negotiating peace.

President Donald Trump warned on Wednesday that Iran would “pay the price” for taking “too long” to negotiate a peace deal in the Middle East, which Britt said the President would follow through with.

"President Trump means business, and I hope the Iranians are paying attention, because I have no doubt that he will follow through," she said. "Look, President Trump isn't the first president to have the courage to actually hold the Iranian regime accountable."

"If I were them, I would pay attention because he means what he says," she added. "And I believe that he will follow through, and Americans will ultimately be safer and more secure as a result."

"Look, President Trump is not going to look the other way. President Trump is not going to say, 'Oh, I now believe you.' President Trump is actually asking them to come to the table. He said today they are dragging their feet and he will tolerate it no more," Britt continued.
