An officer with the Priceville Police Department reportedly crashed a patrol car while en route to a police pursuit on Tuesday evening.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash happened on I-65 near Bethel Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. The officer’s 2021 Dodge Charger left the road, reportedly striking a cable barrier.
Priceville Police Department Chief Jerry Holmes told a local news source that the officer crashed while responding to a call for assistance from a fellow officer regarding a pursuit taking place a few miles away. No other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.
The ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
