Alan Sears, founder of Alliance Defending Freedom, recently endorsed Katherine Robertson for Alabama attorney general in the 2026 election.
Sears praised Robertson’s dedication to defending life, liberty, faith and family, highlighting her as a vital leader in the fight for these values.
"In my 50 years of involvement in law and public policy defending life, liberty, faith, and family, the role of state attorneys general has never been more crucial. Now, more than ever, the life movement needs strategic thinkers, powerful messengers, and unwavering champions. We are in the midst of a new chapter in the fight for life, and we need to bring our best to bear. I am grateful to have Katherine Robertson in this fight with us, and I have total confidence in her as a champion for life. She is the right messenger for the moment, and her experience, competence, and unwavering dedication will not only safeguard the people of her state but also influence the nation. I wholeheartedly endorse Katherine in her run for Alabama Attorney General,” Sears said in a statement.
Robertson, who is running as a Republican, currently serves as chief counsel for Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who is term-limited and running for Senate.
“I am deeply honored to receive Alan’s support. His lifelong commitment to defending life and liberty is inspiring, and I am wholeheartedly committed to serving Alabama with the same dedication and resolve as Attorney General,” Robertson said.
Alliance Defending Freedom is the world’s largest legal organization committed to protecting religious freedom, free speech, marriage and family, parental rights, and the sanctity of life.
According to a press release, the endorsement by Sears is personal and not an organizational endorsement by Alliance Defending Freedom.
