During a speech to the Dothan Rotary Club on Monday, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) called for those involved in the Russia hoax against President Donald Trump to be indicted.

In the wake of recent evidence pointing to Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama as the masterminds behind the Russian collusion, Tuberville said he had told Trump and members of his cabinet that they were elected to get those "crooks" in jail.

"The only way we’re ever going to get the people going in the same direction is the people that are crooks, they’ve got to be indicted, OK?" Tuberville emphasized. "There’s a lot of people out there right now that for years that [thought], 'I can do what I want, the justice system is behind me, my political party is behind me, I can hide in the bushes if something happens.' They never dreamed Trump would be reelected again. Never dreamed it. And he’s our only chance."

"I mean, he’ll tell you. It’s not about Republican or Democrat. It’s about getting back to right and wrong in this country," he continued. "And I’ve told him this, and I’ve told other people in the cabinet [that] you better indict somebody. We as Americans elected you and got this staff and got this cabinet to do the right thing … we elected you to put their ass in jail."

"We’ve got to get back to where people trust the government, Heaven forbid, but we have to get back to where you actually believe that they’re working for you, that your taxpayer money is going in the right direction," Tuberville added.
