The City of Auburn released a list of candidates who qualified for the August 25 municipal elections after the qualifying period ended on Tuesday.
Mayor Ron Anders will be challenged by two other candidates, Jimmy Glenn and Robert Wilkins.
For City Council, Connie Taylor will not be contested for Ward 1.
Ward 2 representative Kelley Griswold will not run for re-election. Kirsten Milenkovitch qualified for the seat and will be deemed elected by state law because no other candidates qualified.
Incumbents for Ward 3, Beth Witten; Ward 4, Tyler Adams, Bon Parsons; and Ward 6, Max Coblentz, were not challenged and will also be elected by state law.
In Ward 5, incumbent Henry G. "Sonny" Moreman will be challenged by Toshiro Jackson and Michael "Mike" Menese.
In Ward 8, incumbent Tommy Dawson will be challenged by Augustus Ayers and Robert L. McCollum.
